Character Design

There’s nothing more enjoyable than bringing a new character to life—imagining their personality, what they wear, where they live, and even what they love (or can’t stand!). I had the pleasure of developing the character of Miss Petitfour, crafting her unique visual identity, signature style, and even her 16 eccentric cats.

I’m equally passionate about reimagining beloved literary characters, whether it’s Mole and Ratty from Wind in the Willows or Mary from The Secret Garden, as I am about inventing completely original characters from scratch. Character development is one of my favourite creative challenges, and I love using illustration to tell their stories in rich, visual detail, and capturing emotion and body language.
