How do you create your work?

I use a mixture of watercolour, gouache, pencil, NeoColor pastels and sometimes a little bit of Photoshop or Procreate. 

How do you become an illustrator?

I have written about how I got started as an illustrator here. I’ve also written some of my top tips for recent graduates here.

What equipment do you use?

Tech- iMac, iPad Pro, apple pencil and Procreate, Canon scanner

Brushes- Windsor and Newton Series 7 watercolour brushes, synthetic Prolene brushes for gouache.

Paint- Winsor & Newton or Arteza gouache. Winsor & Newton or Schmincke watercolours.

Pencils and pastels - Caran d’Ache Supracolor pencils and NeoColor pastels

Can I interview you for my blog?

Feel free email over some questions and I will do you best to get back to you. This can take a while though depending on how busy I am. 

Do you do custom design for small businesses?

I occasionally take on work with small business depending on my schedule so send me an email.

Do you teach private lessons?

Not currently, but I have online classes available on gouache and watercolours.

Do you do live illustration at private events?

Not any more, I am focusing on illustration, writing books and teaching.

Do you do family portraits or wedding stationery?

No, same answer as above.

I've written a book, can you illustrate it?

I only work with publishers, not with self published writers. If you have a publisher please do have them get in touch with me.
