The Adventures of Miss Petitfour
I am the illustrator of The Adventures of Miss Petitfour children’s book series, written by award-winning author Anne Michaels. Published by Tundra Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House Canada, this fully illustrated chapter book series features full-colour artwork throughout, including endpapers, maps, vignettes, and full-page illustrations.
To date, two titles have been released: The Adventures of Miss Petitfour and The Further Adventures of Miss Petitfour. The stories follow the whimsical escapades of Miss Petitfour and her sixteen cats as they take to the skies with the help of a magical tablecloth, embarking on charming and imaginative adventures.
The visual style of the books is soft and nostalgic, with a pastel colour palette created using gouache and mixed media. The illustrations are designed to evoke a sense of warmth, whimsy, and timelessness that complements the playful, storybook setting.
